Folks,

Next Thursday, April 27th. SLASH will host its next LFS tour/ Pizza(?) Night. For you folks who don't like to drive to south county, this is your chance to get together, see another of St. Louis' LFS, eat some food and have some fun!

The particulars:

We will be meeting at Beldts Aquarium any time after 7:00PM and will be making a short drive to Rookies Bar and Grill located in new town St. Charles at 8:00PM..

Beldts has said that they will be making a double order of saltwater livestock next Monday so we should see a good variety of fish, inverts and corals.

Beldt's Aquarium
7025 F Howdershell
Hazelwood MO 63042
(314)895-3350

We are not absolutely sure if Rookies Bar and Grill serves pizza hence the Pizza(?) Night, but we are absolutely sure that we will have a banquet room to ourselves along with beer specials.

Rookies Bar and Grill
3721 New Town Blvd
Saint Charles, MO 63301

Word has it that Rookies serves hot wings and we all know what Nook can do to a large pile of wings. He will hopefully be there to give tips on how to eat them quickly and efficiently and, of course, how to wash them down with an appropriate amount of beer. Whether you like looking at what Beldts has to offer or not, this display of gastonomic prowess alone is worth driving to see.

We're giving you a whole week to think of an excuse to tell your significant other as to why you MUST attend this get together.

See you there!

Woohoo! :D

Actually Rookie's isn't in New Town; it's right off of Hwy 370 on New Town Blvd, about a mile south of New Town. I pass it on my way home; I can stop in tonight and grab a menu.

i might be able to make this one.
and i haven't been to beldts yet!

beldts is like the mega superstore of fish stores... the place is huge! AND SWEET

We go to Rookies for lunch on occasion. The food's not bad and every waitress; (since it's a sports bar) let's just say that the view of the upper deck is pretty good...

I stopped by Rookie's on my way home and looked at a menu. I'm sorry to report that they don't have pizza. They have a ton of sandwiches and burgers, wings, shrimp, steak, ribs, salads, a bunch of appetizers, etc.

From your av, you look like a loge reserved kind of guy. :D

Fair warning - the evening manager might be a loge reserve guy but the lunch manager is CERTAINLY an upper deck guy.

I subscribe to the philosophy of T and A, both are equally important.

This should be a fun evening.

So no club talk, Just pizza and making fun of Chad?

I thought that qualified as club talk? :D

Heh- Yeah. Well, for those that remember, I brought up this whole pizza night thing with Nookie about 6 months ago based on our little get togethers we had at a Pizza joint in Clayton about 3 years ago. The whole point was to meet up with a few people from RC once in a while without having to deal with club stuff. I'm totally stoked that this has grown into something that a lot of people take part in but I have to admit that I don't really care to see it thown into the mix as a club function since the whole point of it was to stay away from that...
