Hi,

Could someone help me with the placement of 3 MP40W ES in a tank with the following mesurements, 76 long x 30 high x 24 deep.

The rock work is VERY open and light and is housing SPS only.

It is impossible for me to place any on the back as the aquarium is build into the wall.

Currently im having 1 on the left side and 2 on the right, they are running the NTM program with the one on the left and one on the right are anti sync and the last on the on the right is master.

The master is places in the middle of the depth of the tank and about 5-6 inces down, the other one on the right side is placed towards the front and half way down. The one of the left is also placed towards the front and halfway down.

The return pipeing to the sump (cant remember the english word for this hehe) is placed on the left side of the tank.

The reason for all this info is that for the last 4 weeks i have been trying to find the right placement due to LARGE! buildup of deterious on the buttom and especially on the left side of the tank in the "caves" that have been created within the rockwork.

I hope this makes sense and someone can offer some help.

Maybe it is issue with the rockwork. I have same dimensions tank and have 1 mp 40's on each side about 6" from the top and i don see anything sitting at the bottom at all. infact it did take a lot of sand when i was cycling and when bacteria did not set up

Without being able to put pumps on the back of the tank it will be tough to blow water through the rock and out of caves. You could try an MP60 which would have a broader and higher pressure flow pattern.
