Placement of an anemone

SO, I am still in the planning stages for my first tank (just got some uaniva live rock today so the excitement level is climbing), so an anemone is still in my somewhat distant future, but I am wondering about placing the thing. I know that I want some clams and maybe a frogspawn or torch coral in this tank also.
That being said, should the anemone be put in the tank and allowed to wander and find it's own place before these other items go in, or can I "plan" for future placement and start filling my tank with other neighbors.
I have a 70 gal. tank (36"w x 23"h x 18"d) with an outer orbit light fixture.
Thanx

Most people let the anemone find its place and then add other animals. BTA's are the hardiest host anemone and best if you're not experienced keeping anemones.

Anemone's need an established tank. With that being said. If you figure out the type of anemone you want, and it's requirements, you should be able to place one with very little movement. I placed both my seabae and haddoni, and the only thing they did was climbed the rocks about six inches. They did this very slowly over the weekend and I was able to make sure to keep everything out of their way. Ofcourse BTA's are a differents subject, the ones I have will randomly wander and they move quickly. They are in a system by themselves so they can wander whereever they please. Ussually a happy anemone will not wander as long as it's requirements for lighting and water flow / temperature, water quality are met.

you dont "place" anemones they place themselves ...give them the right conditions and they'll stay put...if you dont they will wander around alot.
