placement of PD under t-5

I recently bought a second frag of PD. Couldnt help, myself...

they were a really "purply" color. Is that a word? my old ones are a grayish purple. the new ones are very vibrant!!

question is where to place in 75 gallon to keep vibrant color, with 6 bulb t-5 ho tek with individual reflectors. hi or low.

also what flow?

my bulbs are assorted, but need new ones!!

Mine are at the bottom of a 14" deep tank with month old bulbs under low flow. There is a real royal purple to them and I love the color.

Mines were at the bottom slightly shaded to get the nice purple.

People general place this polyp slightly shaded in the bottom or mid lower level of the tank to keep that nice purple.. see for example...

Wow.. I thought mine were purple,those look incredible!

But after a tank incident which made my DKH go past 20's and stressed the crap out of my tank, it's turned brownish purple again and working to color it up again.
