placing a new carpet anemone

I'm getting a new haddoni today and don't want to repeat the problems I had when I purchased my first one a few months ago. With my first one I dug a hole in the sand next to a rock and tried to guide the anemone in without touching it which proved to be impossible. I quickly found out just how sticky they are and after thrashing my hand around to get it off it miraculously landed in the right spot and is doing great. I do not want to try that technique again. What's the best way to move a new anemone into place? Do you use gloves?

use a smooth concave rock. Guide him with it. If he stick to the rock, leave it there. You can always remove the rock later. I often put a concave smooth rock on the column of the anemone to keep him where I want him. Once he attached, I remove the rock if I don't want it there.
