Plan for removing sps from rock?

So I am shutting down my 60g and downsizing to a 40b.

I have a red planet with 4 heads and its spread considerably on the rock. What would be the best way to remove each head? I think it's too thick for a bone cutter but not tall enough to cut a thinner part further up...

I'm thinking I should frag them onto plugs now so they have some recovery time before I move them into the current cycling tank and they had multiple reasons to die on me...

Any other thoughts?
