Plant life needs to be identified!

I have some developing plant life to Identify. The base of the stems are fairly thick, maybie 1/8 of an inch... and purple. The plants start, at the base, purple and gradually change to green at the top half. The bigger ones are starting to develop leaf-like structures from the tips of the green tops.

Camera needs batteries, sorry.

It's impossible to tell without a closeup pic.

maybe Dictoya Sp.?

it's just a guess since i can't see it in the pic. some dictoya algaes fade from green to purple. just a guess.

Try looking up Sargassum.
