LOL it is awsome and he is injecting c02 like a planted tank
quote from the sw planted tank
Secrets... I'll just list everything I do.
I use Reef Crystals, I used uncured rock, I let it cycle fully (with uncured rock and full lights). I have dedicated Sunday as my trimming day (very important to stop or start things growing where you want them to) and cleaning the tank (scraping the glass, removing unwanted algae, cleaning pumps, etc...). The only thing I dose is B-ionic 2 part calcium buffering solution and Brightwell Aquatics Ferrion iron supplement. I keep the lights on 24/7.
I believe a lot of the nutrients and food for the coral and algae also comes from my fish food mixture as listed:
1 frozen cube of mysis
1 frozen cube of brine shrimp (high in HUFAS)
1 frozen cube of brine shrimp (spirluna enriched)
1 full pump of LiquidLife MarinePlankton made with Cyclop-eeze
a couple drops of LiquidLife BioPlankton
a couple drops of Kent Zoecon
a mild squirt of Kent Zoe.
All of that goes into a little sealable jar that I keep in the fridge though I usually up the quantity by 5 (5 cubes ea, 5 mild spuirts, etc...) I feed 2 times a day, sometimes 3 - 6 depending on how much they eat. I also over feed once a week on purpose to feed the cleanup crew, macros, and xenia - sometimes I'll drop whole silversides in for the snails (nasarius, tonga... not astreas) so they can clean it up (and they do). The rock anenome eats frozen krill. And all the shrimp get frozen krill once a week as treats.
I don't think I have much more secrets than that. Oh, my CO2 is 1 bps - too scared to go higher - it's just enough to get the algae to pearl. Water changes every 3 months - about 15 to 20 gallons is replaced.
