Plate coral not opening all the way up?

I have no idea wat is wrong. All parameters are good and everything else in the tank is growing like crazy and has great color. It just seems lately its tentacles are only coming out about an inch when normally they are out like 4-5 inches. No signs of bone are showing, feeding mysis shrimp, oyster eggs and phyto feast. Anyone have any suggestions. It has been like this for about 2 months now and I am starting to get mad:mad2: Thanks for any ideas!

any algae troubles, other evidence of high phosphate? no fish picking on it?

I had a dormant short-tentacle wake from the dead when I squeezed some raw shrimp juice onto it and fed it a cross-section slice.

I have an out break of algea bubbles right now. NOthing picking on it ever. Used to be the show piece of my tank but now it starting to become ugly=( Where would I get raw shrimp juice and a cross section slice(no idea wat that is).

Any new additions to the tank? I had a beautiful green nepthea that went downhill after adding a colt. I suspect some type of chemical inhibition by the colt. How about a change in water flow patterns? Is there a direct or indirect stream of water hitting it?

Nothing really new. Just started looking worse and worse each day. Some days it looks better than others. I have spot fed mysis shrimp before and nothing really changes. Water flow patterns i think are fine. Not to much but not to little. Just enough the keep the tentacles moving but not the actuall plate itself lol. I am stumped =(

interested in the results & coments, my buddie Dan has the same problems w/his green plate. I know that they are sensitive to o2 trapped under the plate and leaching upward through the coral. We have always been careful of this but still it has poor polup extention. Dave
