playing peek-a-boo with clown fish

yeah they love to play with the anemone :) i was thinking of getting another anemone but im not sure i have room in my tank, its only 20 gallon. i think i might though, it could stop my clowns fighting a bit (i have 4) one of my clowns has retreated under a rock cuz hes been picked on :( if he doesnt come out i might think about taking him back to the LFS. (maybe getting a new anemone would fix prob?)

I would definitely only have 2 clowns in a tank that size or any size for that matter. Once your clowns kill off the 4th one they will probably go after the third one and kill him as well.

yeah hes still under the rock and rarely comes out, he came out last night though, and he looked very pale and stressed out, cuz when he does come out he usually gets chased heaps. i did manage to feed him, and now hes gone back under the rock and peering his head out every now and then to see if the cost is clear. hmmm. should i take him back to the LFS? he seems more healthy now but still bit scared/under rock. the only reason i dont wanna take him back is cuz ill miss him :(
i should be able to aim for a trio without him though, since all my clowns are the right size, - baby, middle, large.

If only it worked out that way... Chances are you will end up with 2 clowns in the end. If you like your smaller clown so much then do him a favor and either set up a tank for him and the third clown or bring them both back to the lfs.

what sort of size tank would you need to support 4 clowns?

Like a 120 gallon, and hope that they stay on seperate sides of the tank, with seperate hosts. It has been done before, but odds are it won't.

i was thinking maybe because i had bought blue led moonlights that this coulda triggered the aggressive behaviour in my clown. Like maybe the natural blue glow at night triggered instinctual behaviour in him and became more like clowns are in the ocean. he seems to guard the anemone more now, still lets the baby one in, but when i turn off my room light, he seems to shew away the littlest clown and guard the anemone more. maybe just coincedence, but i think the blue moonlights have something to do with it. does anyone know if moonlights trigger spawning behaviour in clowns?
