I'm putting my fish tank of 18 months up for sale, but before I do an actual post, I'd like to have it looked at prior in doing so. Selling due to other life's responsibilities: early work hours ( have brothers feeding them ), work (promotion), gym after work and other activities. With a busy schedule I am unable to sit down and admire my tank. Located in Milpitas/North San Jose, here are specs and pictures of my tank. Selling for $3650 obo. Thank you for your input! =)

In general, most people look to buy at 50% of new. So, get an idea of what the new cost of everything and cut that in half.

There’s a lot of used reef equipment on the market right now and going into summer, I expect more to hit the market.

In my opinion price is way too high. The tank system new is roughly $1600 (plus extras). The light roughly $900 new. Vortechs $380 new. I’m also not seeing many high dollar corals. Around here the blasto retail is about $100. GSP
about $20/rock. Ricordea maybe $30 or so. Mushroom about $10. The rock and sand also don’t hold much value.

I’m not trying to be mean at all, but I’d honestly guess as a complete system you’d be lucky to get about $1500.

You’d be best to separate it. You could probably get about $1k for the tank (including skimmer and reefmat). $150 or so for all livestock (combined). About $500 for the light. $150-$200 for the vortechs. Probably not what you want to hear but that’s about where it’d sell around here in Ohio.
