YOU have been ignored!
Alright well all of the sudden I've had a lot of feedback from people who say I'd be screwing up putting a BK 200 on a 90 gallon heavily stocked SPS tank.

The specs on the 160:

Mini Bubble King 160

For tanks from 50 - 135 gallons
600 L/H air - 265 GPH Water
Total height : 21.65". 18 Watt/h

The specs on the 180:

For tanks from 100 - 200 gallons
800 L/H air - 396 GPH Water

The specs on the 200:

I placed an order with you guys earlier today for the BK 200 but I'm now thinking this will be the wrong thing for my tank. Now I'm not sure after getting more input from people I think this thing is not going to work properly.

So I'm wondering who is the foremost authority on these BK skimmers so I can hear it from the proper persons to ensure I don't create a big hassle for everybody involved? Who do I need to call etc? I'd appreciate it and of course I will give you guys my business.

Thanks!
Chris

I'm am no expert... but I have the 160 on a 55 and it wooped up on it. Now it skims much less but still very well than it did the first 2 weeks. Corals look great though.I think you may be over sizing a bit. I kinda think that for this particular skimmer you should get one that is rated for your size tank like the 160 and make it work hard all the time. They are over rated for tank size .IMHO

Hi,

From the feedback we get from customers, it does seem these skimmers prefer to be worked hard. The people with the most problems getting them dialed in were using them on too small of a tank.

So although the norm has always been the bigger the better with skimmers, i think these are so fine tuned, that it's better to get a smaller size that matches up to your tank. SO i think even on a heavy loaded tank, you'll be more happy with the 160.

Give us a call 317-895-9005 if you already ordered and want to change, we might be able to get that changed before it's shipped.

Since I have two BK skimmers, I have to suggest that Jason is correct. Buy the skimmer that is sized approximately for your tank. You will like the quality of what you are getting.

I tried to call but I think we have the wrong # for you. I also sent you an e-mail just in case. Sorry I missed you when you called. We got really busy for a little while. Just call me anytime. I did put the 160 on hold for you just in case. We just had 1 left and I wanted to make sure it did not sell. Talk to you soon.
