Please help identify this algae

My tank has been setup for roughly 6 months and I've started to notice this white slimy algae forming on some rocks. I'm leaning towards Dino's, but I don't see any bubbles. The glass will get covered within a week with brown hair like algae as well. I have a Si kit on the way to check that as well.

All water is Ro/DI using Reef Crystals
Sg 35ppm
Po4 0
Nitrates 0
ALK 9.5
Ca 500
Mg 1400

OMG! That is a rare toxic form of the nuclear algae know as nucleoside caulerpoxology. You should wear a mask & gloves when around the aquarium.

Action should be taken immediately but do not disturb this algae. Sudden disturbances can result in gaseous explication & secretions.

:lolspin: I needed a good laugh today. The tank is a 120 with 2 WP25's and koralia, so flow is decent. In fact it only seems to grow in higher flow areas. ro/di water is the only water used since the start. Lighting is a Reef Breeders photon 48 LED ramping up to 65% blue 30% white. Photo period is 10am-9pm with 1 hr of blue only ant the beginning and end of the cycle.

Hmmm... how's the clean up crew?

I don't particularly care for turbos - but a couple of them might mow right over that.

I prefer:

Nerites
Cerith
Torchus
Hermits

If it is just on that 1 piece of rock, you could always pull that piece out if nothing is attached and just manually remove it. Turning off all powerheads and trying to manually scrape it away could help too. Then do a water change after while everything is suspended.

I recently added 10 Torchus after most of my turbo snails died (iv'e read some of the dino's can kill snails). They are doing a decent job at keeping the algae at bay. Unfortunately most of the rocks are covered with the white slimy stuff so removing the effected ones isn't an option.

Silicates were .1ppm or less. I changed my GFO and Carbon last night. Today my toadstool leather is open (it has been closed for weeks) So I'm pretty sure it's Dino's and that the toxins have stunted all of my coral growth. Looks like its time to gear up for a war!

I managed to get a couple of better pictures of this stuff. I pulled out a rock that was covered last night and it was very slimy.
