Please help the electronically challenged reefer

Green wire in 2nd pic goes to the MH. The old T5 ballast has no ground wire that I can see. New one has an obvious 3rd wire on the end that is the equivalent of the first pic.

I really appreciate the help. Gonna grab some connectors tomorrow and splice in the new ballast vs rewiring the whole thing. Also gotta order a new piece of tempered glass (refer to other thread.)

mark i am sure that you could prob trace the green wire to where it attaches to the fixture I am thinking that you could just use the same grounding spot as the metal halide

Jeff, Kat, Walter, thanks a million. Worked just like you said. I pressed in on those square plastic nubbs and it released the existing wires. I just plugged them back into the new ballast in the same sequence and the T5's fired right away. New ballast had an extra green ground wire which I just secured under a fixture screw.

This place is great!!! Where else can you get such sound advice so quickly and reliably!!!!
