Please id? Leopard wrasse?

Street Fish

New member
Hello Reef Central,

I purchased what the LFS told me was a "Green Leopard Wrasse" collected from the Maldives.

As I am aware of the nuiances in keeping Leopard Wrasse, I was hesitant to make the purchase.

This is when the LFS manager assured me this type of Leopard Wrasse was hardy.

Can someone PLEASE ID this fish? I want to read more on this "Green Leopard Wrasse", which I can't seem to find any information on.

They are about 4"

Thanks!

Also, I'd take everything that particular LFS manager tells you from now on with a serious grain of salt. "Hardy" is not a word I'd use to describe a bipartitus leopard wrasse (or any other species of leopard wrasse, for that matter, although some are hardier than others).

Agreed - unfortunately, he is the manager of a reputable lfs in the area, so it is a bit disconcerting... He has agreed to take them back
