Please post pics of cubish tanks

I am going to be building one, and I was looking for ideas as far as CL, returns, flow, aquascaping and other set up ideas. mine will be 48" x 48" x 21"h. I guess about 210 gallons. So anthing close would be great! Also any stand ideas as well.

Here is my cube 240g 48x48x24 (i wish it is 20-21"H).

I would go with Tunze wavebox and extension with two stream instead of CL. Here is video of my tank with 2 wavebox and two streams. Hope it help with ideas for your new setup

Hi Brisk495, i am also another victim of Cube tank. I will move soon to either Colorado or Texas, i will go with larger cube or semi-cube (may be 72x48x20"H). 24"h kinda tough for vertically challenge person like me

I think that the Tunze are great but not in my budget. I am looking at a couple Mag 36, Or a combination of darts/Mag 36. Or even a couple MJ Mods, with a Dart CL, and a 36 return. Anyone have anything else. I am looking for plumbing ideas as well. I have been addicted to cubes and these look AWESOME! Keep em coming!

Wow, i cant beleive your moving so soon with such a large system...f you sold it, I wish i was nearby, i live in PA though. Is there anything you dont like about the tank? DO your fish seem to have enough room to swim, vs a longer tank?

I like everything about the tank . My fish have blenty of room to swim. The aquascape give them lots of cave to hide as well. I have to move every three years in the past 10 years in the military, kinda get used to it.

sonofgaladriel - looks awesome. I have also been following your threads. you did a great job and your videos are really nice too. The thing I like about all these tanks is, you can set up litteraaly three different sides of the tank. Almost like three different tanks in one!!

sonofgaladriel, beautiful setup, and I though my tank was crowded. I liked you filled every inch of that tank with corals, rocks, and fish. Is it acrylic? I've been noticing that most cube tanks are made of acrylic, any reason for that?

Reefer, what bulbs are you using on your tank? I love the set up. Sonofgaladriel, I have followed your thread from the beginning. Actually I got the idea from seeing your tank develop. Thats when I decided that my next tank was going to be a cube if possible. But I remember you had a stand build thread. I can't find it, do you have pics of the stand? That is one area of concern.

Anyone have a build thread besides cward?

Also I am thinking about lighting it with 400w mh, and 4 54w t5ho. Was possibly considering a 250 mh due to the fact that the tank will only be 21" deep. What do you think?

Sound slike you and I have identical opinions....Id like to have a tank jus tlike what your planning. Well, down the road a yr or two yet, but its still fun to think about....
