Hi There Tunze Forum!

I'm actually new to the Tunze world. Well at least I will be. I need to get myself a pair of pumps to take care of some dead spots in the tank. Here are my tank specs, and I will include a picture as well for reference.

I have a 6'x2'x2' Oceanic 180 Gallon Reef. The main flow to the tank is currently supported by (2) Vortech MP40W running on Reef Crest. I also run a Poseidon PS4 return pump.

I have some dead spots behind the rock work, and along the front of the tank. I came to the conclusion by noticing small cyano patches in certain areas.

My new Apex controller comes with the ability to control Tunze Pumps, so I would love to incorporate them into my set up. I'm looking for (2) pumps at this time.

The pumps also must be mounted on a magnet. I noticed some pumps come with magnet holders, and some don't. If you could please let me know if the pump you suggest comes with the magnet holder, please let me know that as well.

Thanks in advance. Here is a full tank shot. I am planning on putting 1 Pump to the right of the Left side Overflow, and 1 Pump to the Left of the Right side Overflow.

Just about all of our new models include magnet holders. It sounds like you are just looking to target some dead spots and you same to mainly be into LPS. I would suggest either 2 6055 or 2 6105. The only reason to get the 6105's is if you want to move into SPS. The 6105's will do about 2000gph at there 12V setting and 3400 at 18V. The 6055 does 1450. The main difference you will see between a 6055 and 6105 at 12V is the flow is wider, a 6055 has an 18" column, a 6105, a 24", both will reach about 4ft. Both come with magnet holders and are controllable, the 6055 is roughly the size of a racquetball and the 6105 is about the size of a softball.

Thanks Roger!

I've been waiting to dial my controller in before I jumped over to SPS. Now that the controller and dosing is taken care of I will be moving on over to SPS as well. I'll look into the 6105's.
