Please say a prayer for our daughter.

Twinpanther

Just Livin' Life
Brief history. My daughter is 24 and was born with congenital heart defects and has had three heart surgeries by age 13.

Recently, she has been a little tired and her color was off. We took her to her doctor yesterday and we found her hemoglobin level was 6.9 (normal 12-16). We were instructed to bring he to the ER for blood. We arrived and after many more tests they found a valve problem, heart rate of 41 and BP of 110/65. Last night her BP dropped to 80/45.

As I type this she is having a pacemaker implanted to help correct the low heart rate. This is step one in correcting all these problems.

They determined her low blood levels are due to loss but they don't know where from yet. Her valve needed to be repaired but she needs to get stabalized with the pacemaker before we go any further.

*UPDATE*
Just out of surgery and it went well.
Looked at valve and it is significantly blocked and may need to be replaced but she needs to recover a bit first.

Sorry about the scrambled post. No sleep and typing on my phone isn't my thing.

Paul... prayers without question. Please let me know if there's anything at all I can do to help. I hope they're able to quickly figure out the blood loss.

Prayers are there brother, my son had open heart surgery @ 6 months so I know how difficult it can be .... Keep your faith & all will work out. Prayer is a powerful thing God knows I've seen some miracles in my time... Just curious what's your daughters name?? It always helps to have a name for whom I'm praying for ;)
Good luck and God Bless..

Prayer in Progress

Paul and Lori, I can completely understand these circumstances, as you know. I sincerely, and without question, will pray earnestly and consistently for any kind of miracle God wants to send your way. Miracles happen. I know they do. For the moment, my own heart, clicking happily away in my chest because of one such kindness from this source, is with you and your daughter.

Miles may separate us, but if you, or Lori, or your daughter need anything...anything at all. Please contact me at any hour.

I'll make sure to have her in my prayers throughout this process. I hope everything goes well and she makes a good recovery.

See, told ya I was out of it. Her name is Christina.

Thank you ALL for your kindness and prayers. This may be a rather long, bumpy road but we have faith and will see her through this.

She is doing well all things considered. They are bringing in a Hemotologist to try and help fine where her blood is going. I heard a possibility of a problem with her marrow. We'll see, I'll keep you posted.

Sincerely,
Paul and Lori

Sorry for your troubles Paul. Hope it all works out. Sounds like they've got a game plan for you though. So best wishes toward a speedy recovery.

wow god bless and good luck with all - i know kinda what your going threw my brother has been a very sick guy also - i find that laughing and praying as much as possible can help make miracles happen

i certainly wish her the best and send many prayers her way . what is her name so i can speak to him personally with her name in conversation . i have had a string of friends and colleagues that have been hospitalized for many illnesses from gout to influenza right up to brain cancer and they all have pulled through with the help of prayers and good thoughts .
she needs help and everyone here on RC should take a moment to say a thoughtful prayer as it really does help IMO .pitch in and lets be together on this for her !

Dave, I highly agree with you. The power of many people praying, or doing whatever they see fit in regards to a single person's health, however they choose to do it, the positive energy associated with the many, as opposed to the few or the one, brings about miraculous results.
