PO4 Tester

What is the best or at least reasonably accurate PO4 testor? I was primed to get the Hanna but not I read a ton a negatives. Any thoughts?

All of the hobbyist kits get negative reviews here and there. I have used the Salifert and Hach test kits, and they are okay. The Hanna meters probably are effective enough on average, too.

Get a hanna phosphorous meter.. (remember: reading x 3.0661 divided by 1000 = ppm)

I myself have a routine to conduct the test making it very accurate. I've heard some back and forth about the quality of it, but the quality of the tester isn't in question most times most likely. It's probably user error on how they conduct the test.

I've purposely done 3 or 4 tests in a row, and it has never waivered more than a couple ppb.

Another reason I use a laminated card folded in half and always empty the entire contents of the reagent before I even start the test.

I've used the hanah colorimeter 713 almost daily for the past 6 or 7 years.
