Podwer brown & blues

Is anyone keeping these fish together in their reefs? Just seeing if they'll get along. I have a new poder brown tang I added on Dec 26 and was wanting to add a powder blue as well if they won't fight.
Please advise, thanks.

Greg U may get away with it b/c of the size of your tank.

But very unlikely since they will fight for territory and perhaps kill one another.

I'm in the same boat since I currently have a white cheek brown, and have an achilles waiting .

Thanks for the responses even though I mistyped the title. So are blues known to be more aggressive than the browns?

My new powder brown seems to be fitting in very well with the other tangs, Regals x2, Naso, Yellow, Purple, Sailfin, Chevron.
Interestingly enough the only time there has been a skurmish is at dusk from the purple tang but when he starts to flex his muscles the yellow tang gives him a tune up.

IME you always should introduce tangs that are either the same size or larger than the one that is already established. I have seen both powder blue and browns exist together with out issues your larger tank will also help aid with keeping these fish in the same system. I have never heard of getting a smaller tang and introducing into a sytem with a larger one thats like putting the little nerdy kid on the varsity football team he's just gonna get smashed!

I'm upto 13 tangs in my 400 incl 2 sailfins and 2 purples. My latest addition is a 4" whitecheek and he's doing fine so far. My tomini and chevron chase him a bit but the whitecheek is standing his ground. Up til now, Ive had to add tangs in 5-7" size to ensure their survival. The smaller ones would be bullied and chased to near death. I'm still torqued that I missed on DDs 2-8" Achilles they had 2 weeks back. Finding large tangs is hit or miss locally, mostly miss.

Picked up the blue today and the brown is chasing him around the tank and nipping it's fins pretty bad. Hopefully things will settle down.

The powder brown became obsessive with attacking the powder blue and the blue got beat up bad enough that it was just cowering in the corner at the surface so I netted it and it's now recovering nicely in the frag tank and the little foxface in there has a new friend. I will likely put it into the angel/softy tank when he is fully recovered.
