Has anyone heard of Pohl's Coral Vitalizer?

I have read some threads on other sites of people having great results with their SPS.

Is it being sold in the US yet?

Shhhh. Its taboo.

Keep us posted how your corals respond. I'm picking up a bottle as well. There are enough people ZEO and not that I've read from getting great response.

I run Zeo and I will be ordering a bottle here in the next few days or so. Jeff aka gqjeff is sending me a two week sample so I can give it a try and see how things work out. Chances are I will love it :)

I'm getting my bottle on friday. The price is kinda steep ($100/bottle) for a coral supplement so I hope it dos better than the other products I've tried. I'll post results with before and after pictures. I'll just use the pictures from my photobucket as before since they are recent.

started useing it 1 week ago growth has increased and color is getting deeper, useing 8 drops per day on my 180.

I'm on day 7. Have not notice much change in color or growth. 8 drops in the morning (7 hours before lights on), 5 drops in the evening (4 hours before lights out) BB tank, 5ml Vodka per day, 0 nitrates, 0 PO4. Biggest change is that my skimmer is producing more and stinkier skimatte than before.

I have mostly new frags maybe thats why I see the growth spurt also started to feed much more colors were light with less feeding of the fish.

...is this it?

Here it is, its also available in 100ml for $99.

http://www.finsreef.com/product.php?productid=16406&cat=264&page=1

I was trying to figure out the cost - if 1 ml = 20 drops, with a 150G system at 2 drops/25G it's 12 drops/day. So a 100ml ($99) bottle holds 2,000 drops which is about 5 months worth if you don't miss a day. Doesn't seem too bad to me IIIIFFFF it works like the reports I've seen. I'm not a ZEO user, but don't doubt that somewhere, someone will/has created something to stimulate/feed corals that might help them grow or color better in our imperfect systems. It also wouldn't surprise me that its the ZEO people since like them or not, its hard to deny that any other company out there does more with research specific to SPS.

Just tagging. There was a post from Randy Holmes-Farley about a year or so ago stating there was some process/chemistry that purported the same as this stuff. I stopped following it when it degraded to patent rights and such. Anyone know whatever happened to that thread, dunno what to search for.

I hope its true through as I got sucked into the snake oils from ...well you know who...and have not added anything but water, salt, Mg, Iodine, and Ca for the past few years.

I also remember that thread.. Didn't Randy have some involvement in the process though? And he became pretty quite about it all of the sudden? Or am I mistaken? Either way, Im a sucker I'll bite.

.
i think you are talking about this thread
Randy's thread

Looks like a nice Christmas Present. Not much of a break for buying the larger 100ml size. I would just get the smaller one.

But, as the Subject Says......What Is It?
The World is waiting to know.

I never heard of a single link between Randy and this product/system.

The thing is, if it's altering the methods/process of calcification to increase the rate, is that necessarily a good thing coral-wise?

It's just such a shame that these producers cannot be up front about what they want you to add to your aquaria. If they really were wanting to advance knowledge, they wouldn't be keeping everything a secret.

Sure, trade secrets and all ... but I don't think this hobby has gotten as far as it has by keeping everything secret.

I'm interested in folks' results with this product, definitely.

No implication implied. Just wanted to see if that thread ever completed. I won't be adding any until many before me have shown long term health.
