wow scary my bestfriends-wifes-parents just had something extremely similar happen to them here in cali. cops raided there house with a warrant saying they had been watching the house and somewhere inside was 1lb of meth. found nothing. but in there living room is 3-200gallon freshwater tanks and a good amount of chemicals to maintain them. i wonder if something similar happend to them with someone working on the house.

I smell something alright...... Yep- a lawsuit.

That woman must have ****ed the guy off pretty bad or something because she doesn't strike me as a meth dealer. Just sayin'.

A 55 year old woman, and she told the contractor look there's the f'n fish tank. Where's the common sense in people anymore, all so gdmn brainwashed it's beyond sad.

Look at the old thread with the douchebags saying well it could have been one, well we do need the cops to be in everybody's business or we don't know what could happen.

As if it could be worse than a complete selling out and destruction of everything that was ever remotely good about this country. Like someone said in the other thread, what if someone's little girl was standing in front of the door and they smashed her down with it. They wouldn't care, and if you went all Punisher on their *** as they would truly deserve, you would then be the criminal.

For what? To protect us from meth? True the labs are dangerous, the government should manufacture it and distribute it to anyone that wants (show your ID like cigs) and provide a safe place for them to do it away from everyone and kill themselves and ten years later you won't have a meth problem. Survival of the fittest, dig? More biology, less technology: not just for reefing anymore. :smurf:

By the way, did you know that amphetamines are one of the most widely distributed "medications" by medical professionals and is also given to people in the armed forces for a little extra pick me up while killing people unfortunate enough to live on top of oil fields?

The more you know... PSA star thing insert here

Wow, that's ancient history.

That has nothing to do with right now.

I'm sorry.

LOL, well actually ever taken Vick's Vapor Rub.... go read the ingredients, you'll see why it makes you feel so much better... Any of you older generations whose parents made you eat the stuff... there you go.

They'd have to be careful doing that here in Florida, those cops would get shot in a hurry.

I guess some people don't know what white vinegar smells like?

Odors similar to vinegar, ether, and acetone are commonly reported around methamphetamine laboratories. Some law enforcement departments use automated chemical sensors on vehicles and helicopters to help locate meth labs.

While funny at first glance, it's clearly a sad story. There was no probable cause or basis for them to draw up a search warrant except one uncorroborated report of a vinegar smell from one individual with NO follow up investigation.

...Truly a terrible experience for the Adams.

Sadly, I know what this feels like.

A disgruntled employee of the gym I *used* to go to turned me in on suspicion of child abuse. (Never mind that I don't even spank my children.) She told them my daughter, who was an infant at the time, "had breath that smelled like rotting meat, blue under her eyes (she and I both have very fair skin), and scratches all over her body (you guessed it...no scratches!). Despite the fact that there was no proof for her claims, we had to go through a very nerve-wracking investigation. My only solace was hoping that this same process would help other kids really in danger.

It was humiliating having our home searched and our friends and neighbors interviewed and I'll never forget the feeling of vulnerability, being terrified that the government could take away what was most important to me just because I wanted to cancel my gym membership. I've never felt so powerless in my life.

Luckily, the investigators saw very quickly that there was no danger to our kids and pretty much just wrapped things up to the extent they had to. I guess I need to worry about my fish tank now.

thats not even funny, I have been investigated for growing pot. Because of the sudden increase of electric usage when i set up my 350 gallon reef.:eek1: :mixed:

The electric company reported me to the local police department. They had a detective come out WITH A WARRENT and search my house. He walked in saw the 8 foot long tank in the wall and after about 30 minutes of staring into the tank. He told me to have a nice day.
