polyp extension poor during daylight?

Do you have a pgymy angel in any of the other tanks you said you had good polyp extension? Im just wondering b/c I have a pygmy and never see the polyps during the day. I see him pick at them occasionally, but I dont understand how always ALL the polyps are closed up during the day, yet my softies are always open, even though they get picked on too...
