Polyp extension

I have a Cali tort that great polyp extension at night but not much while lights are on. Should I try moving it down in the tank or is this normal? Also, This frag had a greenish sheen with blue tips but is now losing the green but becoming mostly blue? Open to suggestions

As far as I know Cali tort doesn't usually have good PE during the day. I could be wrong but I think it's one that only really extends at night.
