Pop, drip drip drip, aquarium broke!

Hello,
Its been some time since I posted but I have been a long time lurker here.

Was sitting in front of the TV when I here a loud pop and then water leaking noises coming from the other room. Now have a crack down the back of my old 140. Over 10 years old.

My stand is the culprit as it has had some water damage for some time. I put some extra supports under the tank to keep the tank level but was to late and the stand was too damaged.

So my Saturday is being spent looking for a tank and stand. 200 to 300 gallons. Looking on craigslist but also seeing what anyone on here had. Let me know if anyone has any leads. The sooner I get one Saturday the sooner I can start prepping it for my fish to move in.

Good thing I had an empty brute and a running with no fish 29 gallon bio cube to keep the fish and rock happy.

If you are looking for a steel stand get a hold of csample on here he built mine and did a great job on it.

I have an acrylic probably 100 gallon not so pretty tank I could sell you for $100.00. At least it is a safe holding tank till you find what you really want.

Thanks to everyone for the help with tank options. I ended up buying a beautiful 240 gal of craigslist that is fitting my needs nicely.

The bad news is that I have lost my blond naso of 8 years as well as an orange line bristle tooth tang. So sad :(.

Good news is the new tank is almost full and already has my live rock and new sand bed in place. I should be able to finish filling and get my sump running tonight.

I feel that I am so lucky to have heard the pop and save the house from a ton of water damage.

I will have to post some new pictures once the new tank is set up.

I believe that we may or may not all know each other personally. Some may know more then others or less then others but as fellow reefers it seems like we all come together in the time of need to help on another out in the time of desperation. A lot of us know how it is to go through some sort of devastation with this hobby we all love and care about a lot. It is great to see how quickly we can help each other out in the time of need.

I've only been into salt water for a year so I can help out like some of the more experienced readers can. However I do help out with advice as I learn and try to pass my knowledge on to others who are just starting out.

I wish you the best with you new tank.I look forward to seeing pictures of the tank once it gets up and running. However I am sorry for the live stock you lost.
