Porc Puffer with eye injury......HELP! (PIC)

This started about a week ago with a small white piece of what looked like skin attached to the surface of the puffers eye. Over the following days the area around the center became increasingly cloudy and the center actualy appears to be a small hole in from the outer to inner eye. I am treating the tank with Coppersafe and Melafix. The eye has worsened since I took this last picture and is almost totally white and slightly swollen. Puffer still is eating fine but like I said, eye is not improving. Has only been in QT for a couple days.

Looks like a bacterial infection. I'm not sure if Copper is necessary. Consider Epsom salt and antibiotic, eg . Maracyn 2.

I will pick some up (Maracyn 2) tomorrow and read up on using Epsom salt. Thank You

I would discontinue the MelaFix and the copper unless you are treating with copper for parasites and I would use an antibiotic for the eye.

I have done just that. I have discontinued everything and switched to maracyn 2. I thought at first I might be dealing with a parasite bu now I am leaning to an injury.
