Possible DIY led (One Day Only)

I go to woot on a daily basis, and they have a new item every day. Well today they have an interesting LED kit that could be a great DIY project.

I have a nice Moon light setup, so I don't need it, but thought a people might want a look. 55 bucks seems like a pretty good price.

but at the end of the day, too expensive. 50$ for 10 LEDs? no real controller, not sure about the timer. a remote wouldnt be the worst thing, but not for 50 bones.

I had the same thought when I checked it at 12:30... In the end the cost of the LEDs compared to what I can get them for at Digi-Key... it isn't cost effective for a true DIY. If someone doesn't have the LED or electrical DIY experience this would be a great idea...
