Picked this big frag up yesterday at petco... they had no idea what it was..and it was all closed up.. (they keep Salinity at 1.021) so I assume it was quite unhappy... but i scored a free limpet I seen on the glass.. and some free hermit shells :-)

I think it may be some kind of zoa or pally... but not sure

And I'm gonna post a pic of my Lil stomatella snail I recently discovered..such a cool looking critter.. I hope I can find or buy more
(Besides the one website I found that sells hitchhikers...but with a 50 dollar shipping flat rate :-/

Thank you in advanced...

Agreed on zoanthid colony ID on the corals.

That gastropod....I think I saw it in a tv program once, it looks fairly as if it is imitating a crab or something with those antenna and eyespots.

When you clasify marine gastropods, you generally group them on their house, does this gastropod actually have a shell? Or is the back of it just leathery looking snail or something?

Nice find my local petco has saltwater stuff but not safe. Each tank is covered in aptasia and they had a eel that was covered in ick. All the corals covered in algae. Makes me sad to see

What you don't get up at 6am EST for work and browse RC while on the toilet? :lmao:

For your information.....

On work days I'm up at 5:15, out the door at 6, and back home most nights by 6-6:30, but often later because if cases run over (and they never do in the OR), there is no 2nd shift. I'm there until the work is done. :lol2::wavehand::lol2:

Man, that's a long day.

Here's hoping you are a surgical nurse that only has to do that 3 times a week.

4 x "10's" unless someone is on vacation. Then we either work short or work extra days. I work in a sub specialty of cardiology (Electrophysiology) - there are 4 of us in the hospital who are experienced in working this area. I'm the New Guy - I've only been doing this for 20 years.

Sounds like an interesting niche.
