Aka lemmywinks
Here's the deal. I recently took a 29 gallon tank and turned it into a 90. Most of the rock from the 29 went in the 90. I had about 50 or 60 pounds of other rock in a rubbermaid in my garage for 8 or so months. I had a heater and a powerhead in there. I did about three water changes over that time frame in the cycling rock.
Anyway, now I hear a popping at night in the tank. It's a loud snapping sound. I don't see one anywhere during the night. Is it possible I had one survive the rock in a rubbermaid process? I mean, he had hardly nothing to eat for 8 months.
What are some signs that one is in there other than the snapping sound? It was so loud it actually had me checking the glass for cracks!
