Possum wrasse longevity?

I've had two possum wrasses over the years which have lived 2 1/2-3years. Is this normal for this genus or did I have bad luck? I'm curious about other peoples experiences as I'm thinking about trying again.

Impossible to know for sure, mine appeared to be adult coloration.

The singular unhelpfulness of my prior post notwithstanding, mine was quite tiny when I got it and has grown to about 2" so far. Not an aggressive feeder, certainly, but holds its own for the most part.

Thanks for your reply Steve. 5 years seems reasonable so I think I'll give it another try. All my fish are small so a possum should feel comfortable and the tank is a truncated 180gallon which is comparable to your 240 I would think.
