Thanks for the compliment "Nerd" I actually just cut the left leather in half last week. Its a foam/rock wall for the background, wanted more texture to the tank.
I bought the puffer from petc& for like 3 bucks about a year ago, dripped him for about 2 days and hes been awesome ever since. Took me a while to train him with a stick to quit nipping stuff.
Oh man, if you weren't all the way out in Cranberry I'd be trying to get some of that leather off of you! Really awesome tank. So you just left him in a bucket for two days? I was wondering if they would survive that or not because I've always loved GSPs ever since I was in freshwater and wanted to try the same method. Are you saying he nipped at corals, or other fish? I always assumed that since they started freshwater they wouldn't really have the habit of biting corals. How in the world did you train him with a stick?!
Why does everyone think cranberry is like siberia?? its like 20 minutes from town..
Yep dripped him in a 2 gallon pitcher in a 5 gallon bucket with a heater, he was brack when I got him so just had to bring him from 010 to 026.
They eat freshwater shrimp and crayfish and what not so anyhting with a shell is fair game and tryed eating zoas at first, I took a 12" bamboo skewer and basically caned him everytime I saw him nip a hermit. He did eat my mantis mid molt, but I was ok with that...
Lol sorry for the inconvenience! That's why I only used the acronym within the scope of that conversation. I wouldn't go around this forum saying that without first acknowledging that I'm talking about a fish lol. But I have the least keen eyes there are. It just caught my attention. In the first picture he posted, on the left side, you can see a power head and a blue veggie clip. Look between them. And in the second pic he's below the (gorgeous) finger leather colony and above the Yellow Watchman Goby.GSP's on here are Green Star Polyps...get it right so I don't have to read everything carefully and feel like an idiot before re-reading things 4 times (still don't see him in the pictures...but hey...I'll defer to your keener eye, I was never much good at Where's Waldo, maybe it had something to do with the fact that I usually thought it worked like a magic eye thing, which I also was never able to see.)
Remember too that you're talking to a bunch of people who would take group trips to Vermillion to go to Salty Critter 6 times a year if we just put it together, so the drive from the S. Hills up to the N. Hills really isn't much of anything. Besides...Siberia is nice this time of year.![]()
