Here are a couple shots of my two anemones. I believe they are just BTA's. Best I can tell they've been in captivity for about 2 or 3 years.

This is the best thread EVER. I am not worthy! These are to most beautiful habitats I have ever seen. These are truely the rewards of this hobby....and the reason i need another income. Un real! My hand is cramping from scrolling for two hours here! I can't hold my beer! Honey....get me a straw!

OrionN- I love your clown!!! Please tell me about it, I don't know too much about the non-traditional species. Percullaris? Is that a perc and oc cross? What does f1 mean?

I'm interested in getting one, so if u do t mind I'd like to know where you can get them and how much are they.

Thank you

first generation A. ocellaris X A. percula. A friend got a few babies from his friend and raise them He traded on for an Onyx A. percula that I got from Rod.

My new H. magnifica. Under my care for 1 week and have not deflated. I fed he some dry flakes today. I cannot chance she eat some bad food. She ate it a little slow but ate all the flakes I squirt into her tentacles

I got two magnifica and three Gigantea from him. Both Magnifica and one Gigantea made it. The two Malu, Haddoni and BTA I had for a long time, before AM opened

ok thanks Minh, look like the Rits are better than the Gigs, i would love a Gig but seems like it will grow very large and b/c i already have 3 Haddonis, it just does not make sense to try a very difficult shipper. Maybe i will attempt a Rits. I have had one for about 5 years and lost it due to a heatwave.

i have seen the regular brown color rits, nothing of fancy color. what is the next "common" color other than the ugly brown?

The still photo shows the real colors. The video produces very faded colors (inexpensive camera video).

Gigantea IMO/IME is the harder of the two by far. The biggest problem with both species is that they don't ship well. Both require very high light and high circulation. Both will wander if not getting what they need and get chew up by PH or overflow. I keep Magnifica for many many years but my only Gigantea "sucess" is 3 months right now. From the look of it and how he is dong right now, barring disaster strike, he will be with me for a long time. It seem he is over the hump, if he died now, it will be because of me, not shipping or blame the fact that he did not get to me healthy in the first place.

Regarding color of Magnifica, you got to look at both the tentacles color and column color. Colorful tenticle tips are rare, of any color. Column color you can see common are light purple or orange. Dark red are rare. If you see a healthy one and nice color, I just get it and not worry about how rare that particular color is.

Yes, I am a Vietnamese.
