So let me ask a question if I might...
I've had a lot of trouble getting good macro shots using my wife's DSLR, mostly because she doesn't have a $800+ macro lens. Would I perhaps be well served to just pick up a half decent P&S and use the digital zoom for macro's? Some of the shots here are really nice. My ONLY concern is that I've been shooting in raw on the DSLR and that lets me fix white balance issues in Photoshop really easily, I presume I would loose that ability with a P&S camera?

Had to dig a little for these but here are a few I felt pretty good about at the time on with an old olympus c3000. No pp whatsoever of course as i didnt know how

Not at all, these days, you'll find P&S that have RAW capability. I have a P&S Canon G9 which I love, and it has RAW capability.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to poke around see if I can find something affordable and good, would love to take some macro's without spending a bajillion dollars on a lens.

I'll play but I don't have a FTS with my P&S, plus I don't have this tank anymore.

This is my 90 gallon tall, 400W metal halides make for interesting picture taking :)

It's an Olympus Stylus 810. The only problem I have is getting the blue/white balance in order.

Thanks :)

I think I've figured out some more of the settings. Let me try this again -- not all macro shots, but getting more accurate in terms of what colors my eyes see.

I think the next big challenge for me is going to be to shoot pictures of the fish. I always get very jealous whenever I see someone's fish pose for the camera :) Seriously, though, is it all just patience? Or do the fish just get used to the big eye just outside the tank?

These are the two best shots of the tangs I could get in about 5 minutes of sitting there. You can tell the tank is up and running with all the specks in the water column that entails!

I didn't quite understand the rules of the OP :o But I am still working on the settings for getting a good FTS. In the meantime... Sony DSC W290 with underwater housing:

The last picture of the acans is under a different bulb, but same camera. I recently changed my bulb from a 20K to a 14K.

I have seen some very nice reef pictures taken by Point & Shoot camera. So, I would like to start a thread for everyone who own Point & Shoot camera or have pictures of your reef that was taken by P&S camera.

Rules:

1-NO DSLR pics.
2- post one picture of your tank.
3- and one Macro/Micro shot.
4- optional, about your camera.

I'll start:
