Camera setting f/9.0, Speed 1/50, ISO 800, Spot Metering and Custom White Balance.BL now thats a nice picture. What settings did you use to take that?

I use Canon, if my FTS looks green I ussually compensate White Balance setting (Menu WB SHIFT/BKT) to Blue + 9 and Magenta + 1.Paul B said:Thanks BL, I am going to try those settings. My tank always looks green in pictures.
It probably looks out of focus because you aren't shooting parallel to the display window. That alone will greatly reduce sharpness.
you will benefit from looking into shooting in a RAW file format and how to post process your images.
Much better now, just try exposure bracketing plus or minus 1/3 - 2/3 stop.I can get a little better color by using a photo repairing software. But I am still not thrilled with it.
Thanks for posting Mark. I like both of the colonies you have in the 3rd and 7th shots. Any idea what type of Acros they are? Your acans are looking good too.
