Potassium & boron experience

Dear all,

I wondered who actively measures and maintains boron & potassium. I did the calculations for disodium tetraborate regarding randy holmes article on boron to comine with my co3 mix. And decided to only replenish the potassium lost by skimming or manually removal combined with my calcium mix (adding potassium chloride). Unfortunately their is very little data on "how much" is actually used by corals, exclusing the amounts lost by skimming/manual removal for correcting salinity.

The last 2 years I measure and dose KCL. My ATS and chaeto I amguessing consume most of it, last summer consumption increased strangely from 6ml/day to 11ml/day, without changing anything. My kh consumption increased also but not as% much. I make a solution of 100gr/1000ml.

I see, regarding your kH solution. Do you know the concentration? (example; 1L stoch with 84gr sodiumbicarbonate?) I will be using a mix of 12gr sodiumcarbonate and 64 gr sodiumbicarbonate which delivers the same amount of kH (2800kH in total) 0,357 kH = 1ml.

I will be using an ATS too so I am very curious what your findings are. Per liter of aquariumwater you need around 0,38 gr KCI.
