Potters Angel

Hello,
Today i purchased a nice potters angel, who is doing well in QT. I am planning on moving him in my 29 Gal biocube, with 2 false perc. clowns, 1 flame firefish, 1 baggai cardinal, and 1 royal gramma. As well as 3 small coral frags. Would this work? Thanks

IMO/E, your tank is too small, and has too high of a bio-load to be adding a Potter's angel to it.

Don't do it. Take it back and demand your money back! There are a lot of people on here that have tried (including me... I was stupid and bought it before I knew better). They are difficult to keep and most don't survive more than a few months. Mine was in a 35g tank with only a mandarin and it didn't survive. Check it out:

You already have more fish in your 29 than I have in my 60. I wouldn't recommend any more fish. I have no experience with the Potter's, but I've read a lot of threads about the difficulty in keeping them.

I've read quite a bit about potters being difficult. I have had one for more than a year now and it's awesome. Took a few days to start eating but now eats everything. I have a 92gallom tank. I've had very bad luck with almost all other fish though. Clowns, flame angel, coral beauty, most fish I lose but the potters has been perfect. Now I'm probably lucky more than anything, but would say with a 29 you don't have enough rock for him to pick at. Mine is an all day rock picker. Best of luck to you.

I agree with the rest....too many fish in a 29. Potters' are difficult as the research has pointed out. If you like the look, a Rusty Angel looks similar, is way cheaper to buy and is far easier to keep.

Potters are difficult. They are very sensitive to any ammonia and probably nitrites and nitrates. They need more room than your tank. Survival in your tank is unlikely.

The biggest difficulty with the Potters angel is getting them to eat. Once you can get them eating, they are fairly easy to keep, and a great addition. That said, I would not put one in your 24 cube with the amount of stock you already have. In fact, I wouldnt put any other fish in there.
