Potters Angels - Tell me everything!

I'm picking up a pair of Potters. LOL...tongue twister??

Anyway, I know they will do well in my tank, but what might I need to know in the future? As in...future tank mates, long term care, etc?

One or both are nipping at SPS, but leaving everything else alone in their current home. I don't have SPS, so I'm hoping they'll be good kids.

Can be difficult. Make sure they are eating. Many do not eat in captivity. Mine is quite spunky. I placed him in my 240 with a lot of bigger fish and he did his rounds, slapping his new tankmates with his tailfin:lol: except of course for the Blueface Angel. He steered clear of him. Most of the fish do He would peek at him around a rock, then swim away.

If you add other fish, they will most likely give them a hard time at first but should be fine with any fish except another dwarf Angel.

I love potters, I have a pr in one tank, and a trio in the other. They do well, mine are great feeders, but I have heard some have trouble. It sounds like they are allready in someone elses tank, so just start out feeding them the same things they are used to and then swich to what ever you are feeding your other fish. Mine eat everything I put in the tank which is a mix of frozen and pellets. I also keep them with other pygmy angels, the trio is with a trio of cherubs, a fishers and a flame the pr is with a second trio of cherubs and sometimes the males chase eachother, but no real trouble.

Thanks!! Yes, they are in someone else's tank and eating and doing well - just picking on the couple of SPS that he has, and he is planning on switching to SPS dominated, so they must go.

I can't recall the length of time that he's had them, but it is quite a while. He's a reputable member of this site and local club forum.

I have keep a potter in my tank about 1 year . Only nip on enchrusting monti polyp and never take any food but can survive for 1 year and take out from my tank due to all monti no more polyp extension but never cause any big damage to any monti . My 2nd potter also keep about 1 year but it takes pellet food and never touch on any sps coral . This potter keep together with flame angel , multicolor angel , queen angel , watanebei angel and majestic angel without any problem in my tank . But I fail to add flameback angel into my tank just because of this potter for 3 times already so I take it out and will add flameback 1st before putting back the potter ...
