potters in quarantine

Would you guys still treat a new potters angel in quarantine with cupramine or prazipro even if all seems well. I wasn't sure how he would react to these and don"t want to stress him out. He is doing very well and eating just about everything I put in there.

I perform hypo and do a prazipro treatment regardless. There's no way to know what he could be carrying. I think it's worth it.

Thanks for quick reply Amazon. Do you know if prazipro is safe for shrimps and crabs? I got a few peppermint shrimps and a couple hermits at the same time as the angel and they are all in the quarantine tank together. I got the shrimps to see if they would help with aptasia. I put a couple live rocks from another tank I have that has aptasia on them in the qaurantine tank. The shrimps are great. They cleaned both rocks completely from aptasia.

I treat all fish. Currently have a nickel sized potters that went through Cupramine and Prazipro with no issues. I've never tried it, but others have reported succes with Prazipro and shrimp.

Thanks Angel, I might just go ahead and transfer the crabs and shrimp to another tank b4 treating. I want to take care of these shrimp since I read on here that they don't all eat aptasia.

Hey Angel, Just a couple questions. Did you treat ur potters like usual with cupramine and prazipro at the same time? He has been in qt for about 3 weeks now. Do u think I could just do 2 weeks of prazipro and cupramine together and then 1 more week of just cupramine and call it good?

I now do Cupramine and Prazipro together for all my fish. Never found and issue. BUT, Cupramine can have bad reactions with water conditioners and other meds so don't mix anything else into the tank.
