Potters Wrasse Juvie

I have a chance at getting a 1" potter wrasse who is very young. The markings are still undefined but I am fairly certain of the ID.

Is there anyone here who has experience raising such young wrasses. I have kept seahorse fry before so I am up for the challenge, just need some guidance from someone who has done it.

Have had the wrasse for a week now.

It is in a 20g long tank with 30 lbs of lr in the display and close to 80lbs of lr in the sump/refugium.

The tank was newly setup, but fully cycled.

I seeded the tank with bottles of tiger pods and plan to order more pods from LFS cultures. Right now the wrasse is taking Artic Pods by Reeds as food. I will be getting some bbs tomorrow and will try that gut loaded for some diversity.

I've been trying on several different forums and sites, but it seems no one has any experience with this fish. It is too bad, it is one of the prettiest fish I have seen.

If you have any ideas or thoughts for me, I sure would love to hear them.

Thanks.

as far as i know, they aren't much different than most leopards. great looking fish one of my favorite leopards, ok well i guess i dig on just about all of them. got any pix of the juvenile? great find. as he/she matures, try and get it interested in frozen foods for your sake. or seed your sump with a diversity of creatures. i am going to be setting up a gravity feed refugium on my next tank so it feeds all day.

Mine eats frozen foods aggressively.

My first Potters was small like that. It was almost clear in the back with no real pattern. Mine found enough to eat in the reef for a few days and then it started to eat pellets. That was 3 or 4 years ago and I still have it.

I have another potters (smaller male), yet another potters that I gave away and a gunea fowl that all went to pellets within a few months. However, they all actively hunt and have full bellies nearly all the time.
