Something is wrong with my tang.
His fins turned black ( very dark anyway ) and he doesn't look happy.
Everybody else in the tank is good"¦.no change done to the tank.

Any suggestions?

He is laying on the side in his cave…..comes out for a short swim….goes back. Not moving much at all today...
Really weird.
He is acting like is high on something…..

I might try to take him out to quarantine….

i added a picture"¦..maybe it helps"¦.

Puzzler. Check for stray current...any shock in the water? Check all water parameters you can test, get a good picture. I keep a list of good reef params in my sig line.

Ask in Reef Discussion---you might turn up some people more expert in tangs. I've never had one do this. How long have you had him? If new, was he qt'ed, and is there any chance of flukes?

quarantined for 4 weeks
He is in display tank for 1 month.
During the quarantine process he changed the color too but was active.

Does he do this when the light is off or on? Sometimes the high lighting of a reef is a bit much, and fish may hide.

lights on……. but……he never did it before
I have a feeling that a yellow tang is bullying him…..that is the only explanation for now

You might pull the yellow to qt for a week. This works to calm down a territorial dispute. Or you can move rock, erect a spire halfway down the tank.
