Powder blue tang with ich

Have you started him on prazipro and some vitamins and garlic? If you put some drops of that on his food it may help entice him to eat better. It'll probably take a while for him to fatten up though

I know I'm really tryin everything I can. I've been putting the drops and garlic exteme on the food, he hasn't eaten yet. I haven't started prazipro because I'm not really convinced its worms or anything. It really suppresses hunger and I'm really trying to get him to eat anything right now. I also put a few pieces of LR that I plan in tossing just so the water levels are more stable for him. I hope everything works out :/

Is there anything else I can try to feed the YT? I have tried NLS pellets, green seaweed, frozen Mysis, and some general frozen reef food all soaked in garlic and vitamins. I haven't seen him eat anything, but I feel like hes getting some weight back since I put in the LR. Could he be eating some small algae off it? He used to eat the green seaweed off the veggie clip, but now he wont go anywhere near it.

Not eating isn't a good sign. Have you checked your water parameters? He needs good water with little to no fluctuations. Try green flake food that has garlic in it.

He also may not like the seaweed you have. I used to get it at the LFS and they hardly touched it. Then I found it in the grocery store by oriental food. It is called yaki nori roasted seaweed. They went crazy over it.

After I put the PB in the DT I did 100% water change with tank water. I took a few pieces of LR from the DT and put it in the tank too. Since then the water has been 0,0,0. He goes to the veggie clip looks at the seaweed and then just swims away. Maybe ill try the grocery store stuff tonight and see what happens.

This fish was beautiful in the LFS and was there for a very long time. I'm kind of mad at myself for putting him through all this. I'm 99% sure he was perfectly fine when I brought him home. He was in the store by himself since I started this 125.

Well you had no way of knowing this was going to happen. When you get the nori, cut thin strips into it before soaking. It may make it easier for him to eat it. Not too thin or it'll fall apart when added to the tank. Actually, that may not be a bad idea either... grind or chop some in ro water so it does fall apart into very small nibble size pieces and just put a pinch in the tank and see if he goes for it. If he does, give him more a little at a time so not to mess with your water quality. Give the rest to the PB

So I can't find nori anywhere, I checked 3 stores in my area. I did try to rubber-band a piece of seaweed to a rock and chip swam to it. He pecked it a few times and I think he got a piece, I'm not sure though. Hopefully some of it is gone when I get back from work.

He's still alive though which I'm kind of surprised about. I haven't seen him eat food in possibly 2 weeks so he has to be eating something some where. Idk

That's great that he's still fighting :) If your qt is empty like mine is, find something, even if plastic plants, for him to have a place to hide. This will help chip feel more secure which will also aid in his recovery.

Did you try walmart? They have roasted seaweed in the oriental section. Just be careful which one you get. Some are for snacking on and have other stuff added. It isn't the same brand but it'll due as long as it's plain roasted seaweed.

I'm not sure what part of the country you're in but Winn - Dixie stores carry the one in the pic I posted (yama moto yama - yaki nori). I believe Publix does also. They are used for wrapping sushi. I have used many others but this one they really go crazy for.

I have a few pieces or rock in there so he can hide. I also have a plastic flower pot up side down. I live on Long Island and I've never herd of those stores besides Walmart. I'll go there today after work and see if I have any luck. I was really surprised he pecked at the seaweed on the rock today. Hopefully some of it is gone when I get home.

You can order seaweed online... I find Drs Foster and Smith have the best pricing, you can also go with amazon. Still no picture?

I posted a picture a few posts back...

I'll try to find it locally one last time then I'll go the online route. I just think it's ridiculous that i can't find it anywhere on this island lol
