Power Compact lamps

Greetings,

I have a 6ft Corallife fixture with (4) 96 watt Power Compacts in it. It is time to replace the lamps. Does any body know where I can get them at a good price?

Also, Which lamps are the best for LPS 6700 K or 1000K?

I have alway had good service from www.hellolight.com.

While I don't have any LPS, I think that the 6700K would be a
bit too yellow.

Try to get a good mix 67k and 10k it will give a nice visual to the tank.

I think the SunPaq bulbs are 50% 6700 and 50% 10K. Same with their actinics, 50% 420 and 50% something else?

Are all 4 pin square the same? If I don't get the Corallife lamps and go with a different manufacturer, will they still fit?

Yes all 4 pin square are the same. There are 2 different 96w configurations though. One is the normal twin tube 36" or whatever long and the other is a quad 4 tube 18" bulb, make sure you get the right ones.

PC's are nice but overpriced I feel. That is why I now have T5 and my Pc's sitting there as a spare item.

I would love to switch to t-5's someday. I have a 6ft tank and have yet to find a good configuration with t-5's without overlap and gaps.

Try Drsfosterandsmith.com or thatfishplace.com They have the best prices on pc bulbs. Petsolutions also.

I've also ordered bulbs from Fosters & Smith and Blue Zoo and both had good prices. Blue Zoo offers a 10% RC members discount and F&S often has bulbs on sale.
