power cord

the retrofit power compact lighting fixture that i purchased did not come with a power cord. i contacted the company and they told me to get this:

but i was wondering if i could just use an power cord from an old computer? would that work? thanks.

Should be fine with that cord (the computer cord). It is a heavy enough gauge.

yeah thats what i thought. anyone with experience?

computer is 18 or 16 guage, fine for 400w max. 16awg can support 8A if needed.
