power out

High winds just knocked the power out here. Anyway if it doesn't kick back on in about 4 hrs I'm going to need to start re-homing stuff. My frag setup is in the basement and sumpless so I've only got abot 15-18 gallons of total water volume.

Mine's been out since 10pm er so. I have my main tank pump running on a car battery and inverter. If they don't have the power back on soon I'll be forced to break out the big gun and just run my whole house and light up the neighborhood. ;)

power ended up just kicking back on, so it was out for 5hrs. I ended up using the gas stovetop to heat up tank water to keep my temp from falling too low.

lowest it hit was 76 (then I bumped it back to 79, and it was back to 76 when the power kicked on).... over the 5hrs, but i won't know how everything fared untill the lights come on later today.

My power went out at 2am, still not on, good thing I bought that generator 2 years ago!!

Did not start the generator until 7am, everthing seemed fine.

with small tanks its easy to just put hot water in bags and float them in your tank to keep the temp up...its also a good idea to have some type of powersupply to run a small pump for a couple hours(I know from experience dude - Farley). I have a battery operated air pump which I am happy with for my 24 gal nano.

Anyone own or read anything on the backup power supplies for vortecs?

i guess i lucked out the power went off and on like 8 times last night... kinda sucked though cause my tanks are within earshot so i would wake up every time i heard them go down
