Poweread placement with Wavebox

Hey Hey, I've got a 6212 in my 90, opposite of the corner overflow.

What would you recommend for powerhead placement for the supplemental flow?

a 6045 next to the 6212 pointing at the overflow? 6045 opposite of the 6212?

2 6025's one on each end?

a 6515 on the front glass? :spin2:

Thanks!

2 6045's would be the minimum that would be effective. I might also consider a single 6065, 6055 or 6095 (if you wanted controllable pumps).

The 6045's magnet holder will only hold on 3/8", the others are suitable for 1/2" if you go 6045 or smaller you will have to either mount them on the overflow box (thinner material) or purchase the magnetic extensions. In general I would place these close to the back corners aimed just past the front center (i.e. hit the front about 3ft away).

so a pair of 6045's opposite each other (one next to wavebox one next to overflow) tank is 3/8" glass so no worries there.

Correct? Will that much laminar flow interfere with the wavebox in any way?

Thanks!

Yes, that would be fine, unless you point the pumps directly into the wavebox outlet there should be little if any impact.
