Powerhead placement

I know most beat it to death, but I am still curious. I have a 40g breeder tank with a 20g refugium. I have a quietone 1200 for my return which u will be able to see in my pic. I also have a Koralia evo 1050 powerhead.... I am not sure this is enough waterflow, even though by the numbers it seems to be. I have a maxijet 1200 that I want to add, but Im not sure where the best place to put it would be. You will see where I have the evo in the pic, on the middle left side. Should I just put the maxi on the right side middle? I kind of want to try one powerhead on the back wall or maybe both. Im not sure what would be best.

My old tank was a 29g bowfront and I had sugar sand which blew around everywhere. I now have the 40g and reefmax sand which wont move thank god... heres the pic

Is there space behind the rockwork? I would use the Maxijet to blow behind the rockwork, than put the Koralia on the opposite end blowing across the front of the rocks to create a circular flow.

yes, there is space behind the rockwork, its pretty open back there. I had thought of putting it on the right side near the bottom of the rockwork...

My main issue has been that I have had cyano breakouts in the front sand area on the left side, presumably where there was less flow due to not having a powerhead on the right side of the tank...I did lights out for 4 days and its gone for now, but I want to add the other powerhead and nip it.... Would it be best served behind the rockwork blowing towards the rocks to blow out detritus?
