Powerhead Placement?

im completely restarting my 26. Before i had a lack of flow, and a lot of detritus collected in and behind my rock. I had a maxi-jet 900 and an HOB penguin 280 filter. I'm upgrading to a tunze 9002 skimmer and 2 tunze nano 6025's.

Where should these (the 6025's) be placed to get optimum removal of detritus behind/on/around my rock?

its not easy to answer without experimentation. I would think, one on each side of the tank. one should be angled up slightly, to have turbulence on the water surface. The other, maybe, on the opposite side of the tank, pointing towards the other one, so as to create random waves when the streams hit each other..... does this make any sense?

If you have corals you need to consider those too. You don't want a full blast of current blowing apart things like euphyllia (frogspawn, torch, etc.).

I have my two 6025's on either end of the tank pointing in toward each other. Makes for some nice random flow. None the less, you'll have to do some experimentation in your tank most likely.
