dont have any pics but the top of the foot and disc got a little chewed up looks like a split how bad do you think this is?did a 5gl wc

My concern is that the foot is damaged -- how bad is the foot? What type of anemone?

I have had an LTA eaten by a SIEO in the past, and after a couple of weeks it looked as good as ever.

Is it still in the powerhead? Really all you can do is give it time, and keep your water in check.

This is what I came home to one night,

how did you pull it out?
hopefully you just turned the power head off and let it come out by itself rather than force it?

It sounds like you have a good portion of your anemone left and that it didn't sustain a lethal injury unless it develops an infection. If it doesn't get an infection it should recover. I had a large RBTA that got reduced to a 1 cm cube by a Vortec. What was left contained a small portion of its foot and it was able to attach to some rock. This little chunk was enough to regrow an entire anemone with time. Have patience and unless it putrefies don't throw it out. Just let it attach where it wants and when it recovers enough to develop a mouth try to feed it if you can. You might want to find some way of covering your powerhead intakes. This is a common problem. For more info on this check out www.karensroseanemones.com. She's got some great information on her site.

I've had mine get into the tunze's on a few occasions.
They've always come back to full strength.
Agreed on trying not to force it out.
