i have a 90 gall fowler, i have the whole back of my tank with live rock from bottom to about 2 inches from the top. question is i see a little build up on the sand on the back behind the rocks. where on the tank should i face my powerheads so it can get back there if possible .

I would at least face one power head towards the back of the rock to break it up so that it gets filtered out. If it's not a ton of build up, you may be able to blow it around with a turkey baster.
My tank is much smaller, so it's easier for me to reach, but that's how I've been keeping the build up down.

"Wherever you can." would be my answer. they have those cool magnet things for maxijets. That may be able to help in positioning.

When I used to run powerheads, I hated those darn suction cup things. No matter how hard I pressed, and how well I cleaned, the suction cups always came off. *bleh*
