Powerheads..what do you think?

I'm starting to look around, at getting an Anemone and heard some horror stories about them getting into powerheads, until they find their spot.

Has anyone ever tried cutting the foot part off pantyhose, slipping over the powerhead and using them as a guard? You could secure the back end with a rubber band. Seems like you would get more flow than trying to cover with something else like foam.

Thoughts?

The panty hose will work. I have used the needle point mesh also with zip ties or rubber bands. Also depending on the power heads if you can dial them down a little until it settles it would help.

I wish I could dial them down, Matt. They are Koralia 1050's and I still want to keep flow going.

Someday, I will get Tunze controllables

I have two Koralia 1400's and I put the mesh around them. My two MP40's have the sponge already on them.

Works like a champ!
